Extension Plan Shop is the smart alternative to designing a house extension from scratch. Our plans costs 75% less than an original custom house extension plan, saving you hundreds of pounds.
We have tried to simplify things further, all the extension plans we sell have been designed to fall within the Planning Permitted Development limits. This means that in most cases a full planning application is not required. The plans must be submitted to Building Control which we can do for you or we can guide you through the application process. What is Permitted Development ?You can make certain types of minor changes to most houses without needing to apply for planning permission. These are called "permitted development rights" and are described in the Planning Portal links below. They derive from a general planning permission granted not by the local authority but by Parliament. Permitted development rights which apply to many common projects for houses do not apply to flats, maisonettes or other none residential buildings. In some situations PD rights are removed by the local authority, these include houses within a conservation area where the character of the area is protected.
